Anatomy of the Heel Bone
The bones that help forms the heel of the foot are known as the calcaneus and talus.  The talus helps to connect the foot to the ankle by forming a joint with the bones in the lower leg; the fibula and tibia. Below the talus you will find the calcaneus which comprises the heel of the foot.
