Anatomy of the Forearm
There are a wide range of muscles located in the lower portion of the arm that we most often refer to as the forearm. Most movements of the forearm are initiated by the muscles in the upper arm such as the
biceps
or
triceps
. The contours of many of the muscles of the arm are visible on the surface and their shape and movement is often accentuated during physical activity. In addition to the multiple muscles that are found in the forearm, there are two bones located in this region: the
radius
and
ulna
.
