Hip Arthroscopy

Overview
Hip arthroscopies have become widely used to repair damage done to the cartilage or labrum in the hip.  A labrum tear in the hip occurs when the ring of soft tissue that lines the joint of the hip is torn or ripped.  The labrum in the hip helps to hold the femoral head in place and allows the hip to have full range of motion.  This procedure is commonly performed on individuals who may participate in sports such as soccer and golf.
