Ingrown Toenail Removal
Overview
An
ingrown toenail
is the term used to describe the injury suffered when the toenail grows into the skin. If this injury becomes too painful the next step is typically to have that portion or all of the nail removed. During this small procedure, your doctor will numb the
toe
by injecting it with some anesthetic. Once the toe has been numbed, the doctor will then cut out the portion of the toenail
that is causing the issue. This is a rather quick and easy procedure and is typically performed in your doctor’s office.
