Knee Arthroscopy

Overview
An arthroscopic knee surgery is typically the type of surgery chosen by surgeons when they are trying to check for problems within the knee.  During this procedure, the surgeon will make small incisions and will then utilize a small camera to look around inside the knee.  If there is any type of damage that the surgeon notices, they will then use a set of small instruments to repair the damage in the area.  This is a common procedure that is often utilized to relieve the pain and inflammation that an individual may be suffering from with an ACL tear, meniscus tear, knee arthritis and many others.  If the surgeon is unable to repair the injury with this minimally invasive approach, they will then utilize an open approach where they will make a larger incision.
